This 15 gallon camellia is a midseason bloomer of very large, rose-red flowers with patches of white. Semi-double blossoms form. Robust green shrub with more narrow leaves and a slower growth habit to 12 ft or more. Interesting bend in the trunk of this plant. Part-sun to shade.
Camellias are beautiful, shade-loving, evergreen shrubs. While they only bloom once a year they have a long bloom time of up to 2 months! Different varieties bloom from late fall through winter and into early spring. Their blooms provide important winter food to our honey bee and humming bird populations. The humming birds also use these dense, dark green shrubs as habitat to nest in. Camellias are fairly slow growing which makes them exceptionally easy to prune and shape. They are hardy plants that love well-draining, acidic soil and need little water once established.

Owners
We are a small, diversified farm located in South Sebastopol, Ca. We primarily raise pigs and goats for meat but also grow fruits, veggies and nursery plants. One of our specialties is locally grown houseplants that are grown not flown. Our plants are already acclimatized and not shipped far distances like the majority of other houseplants grown commercially. We strive to raise healthy, happy animals and to grow plants in a sustainable manner.
